Welcome to Hello Pain Peeps, LLC.  

These Terms & Conditions outline the terms of our website, services, and community offerings.  In these Terms, “Hello Pain Peeps, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Hello Pain Peeps, LLC.

We’re honored you are here.

Our hope is to create a community where people living with chronic pain and illness can find support, education, and belonging.  We believe no one should have to navigate these challenges alone.

These Terms & Conditions explain the guidelines for using our website and participating in our community.  We’ve written them to help everyone understand what Hello Pain Peeps is, what you can expect from us, and what we ask from those who join our community.  By using this website or participating in Hello Pain Peeps, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

About Hello Pain Peeps

Hello Pain Peeps, LLC is a peer-led community that provides opportunities for connection, education, and support for individuals living with chronic pain and illness through peer support groups, guest speakers, resources, and other community offerings.  Our offerings are intended to foster understanding, shared experiences, and learning from one another.  We are not a medical practice, mental health provider, or crisis intervention service.  Participation in Hello Pain Peeps does not create a healthcare-patient, therapist-client, or other professional relationship.

Eligibility

Our website and community offerings are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.  By using this website or participating in our offerings, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Medical Disclaimer

The information shared through Hello Pain Peeps, including our website, blog, resources, guest speakers, peer support groups, and other community offerings is provided for educational and informational purposes only.  Nothing shared through Hello Pain Peeps should be considered medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, nor should it replace the care of your healthcare professionals.  

Always seek the guidance of your qualified healthcare professionals regarding questions about your health or medical treatment.

Peer Support, Not Therapy

Hello Pain Peeps provides peer support, not therapy.  Our groups are peer facilitated to encourage respectful conversation, shared experiences, education, and connection among one another.  While participants may discuss the difficult reality of chronic pain or illness, our groups are not intended to provide counseling, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, or mental health treatment.

Community Expectations

We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community.

By participating, you agree to:

• Treat all participants with kindness and respect.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.
• Share from your own experiences rather than giving medical advice.
• Avoid discrimination, rudeness, disrespectful language, or personal attacks
• Refrain from promoting, selling, or endorsing products or services
• Follow the Hello Pain Peeps Support Agreements during all peer support groups and events.  These agreements are reviewed at the beginning of each group and/or event and are also available on our Documents page.

To help protect our community, Hello Pain Peeps reserves the right to remove participants or limit access to our services if these expectations are not followed.

Voluntary Participation

Participation in Hello Pain Peeps is entirely voluntary.  You are always responsible for deciding what personal information you choose to share.  While many people find peer support meaningful, conversations may bring up difficult emotions or memories.  We encourage you to participate at a pace that feels comfortable for you. 

Community Contributions & Support Our Mission

Hello Pain Peeps operates on a pay-what-you-can model because we believe support, education, and belonging should be as accessible as possible.  Community contributions are voluntary and help sustain our mission of providing peer support groups, resources, guest speakers, and other community offerings.  Every contribution, regardless of the amount, helps support the ongoing work of Hello Pain Peeps and is deeply appreciated.  Participation is not based on the amount you contribute, and we never want finances to be a barrier to finding connection and support.  Please note: Hello Pain Peeps, LLC is not a nonprofit organization.  Financial contributions are treated as standard business revenue and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations.

Unless otherwise required by law, community contributions are non-refundable by law.

Unless otherwise noted, all original content on this website including text, photos, blog post, downloadable materials, and other original content is the property of Hello Pain Peeps, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.  You may view or print materials for your personal, non-commercial use.  You may not reproduce, or otherwise use our original content without prior written permission.

Books, mobile applications, organizations, and other third-party resources referenced on this website remain the property of their respective owners.  References to these resources are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not imply ownership or endorsement unless expressly stated.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hello Pain Peeps, LLC and its owner, volunteers, facilitators, guest speakers, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or participation in our offerings.  Participation in Hello Pain Peeps, LLC is voluntary and at your own discretion.

Emergencies

Hello Pain Peeps does not provide emergency services or crisis intervention.  If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.  If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or having thoughts of suicide, please do not attend Hello Pain Peeps group or event and seek immediate help by calling 988 or please call 911.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable laws.  The updated version will be posted on this page and website with a revised effective date.  Your continued use of our website or participation in Hello Pain Peeps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance to those changes.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
